Lake Louise Elopement
Sam + Brandon
February 10, 2018
This Lake Louise Elopement with Sam and Brandon will always hold a very special place in my heart. I’m a firm believer in making your wedding day about the two of you, however you might envision that. These two had planned on doing a traditional wedding this August but reached out to me just before Christmas saying they had a change of plans and when they said they wanted to elope in Lake Louise I was beyond excited! Their morning started off at the Deer Lake Lodge in Lake Louise and what a stunning morning it was. After almost 50cm of snow the couple days prior everything was covered in snow and it was seriously winter wonderland. It was -13 when we headed out to do the first look and then it was off to Lake Louise to say I do in the most epic spot. They said I do with their 12 closet family members and what a perfect day it was. Thank you guys for allowing me to be apart of your special day and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and fun. ♥
His Favourite Part:
My favourite part of the day was the first look. Seeing Samantha for the first time in her wedding dress was simply unforgettable.
She was the most beautiful part of my day.
Her Favourite Part:
The first look was also one of my favourite parts, I was so nervous! But my absolute favourite part was walking up the isle to Brandon and then standing beside him to say our “i do’s” it was so surreal and fairytale like. I had to take a moment and look around at all of our family and the beautiful view. I even forgot what I had to say at one point because I was thinking about how beautiful it all was and I couldn’t believe it was all actually happening. It all seemed like something out of a movie. I wouldn’t of had it any other way.
This is their beautiful story:
Their story began February 3rd 2014, their apartments we’re right across the hall from each other . After spending everyday together we found out that we had been sleeping right next to each other. With just a wall in between our beds. I would see him at work whenever I had called for an ambulance (which was more often then you would think)
The cute girl at Vanderwell Lodge finally got up the nerve to add her neighbour on Facebook. (Alcohol may have played a factor)
The next morning when Sam woke up she remembered what she had done and went to delete the request only to find Brandon had already accepted it and sent her a message. They then talked over Facebook every day and even spent Valentine’s day together.
Sam and Brandon went on a handful of first dates but they will always remember their very first date to Sobeys where they got groceries together. They spent nearly everyday together but waited until March 1st to make their relationship official.
Shortly after Brandon and Sam found out they were expecting!
Sam and Brandon welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world on November 25th, 2014. They named her Ariellah Lynn, they fell so in love.
Their relationship then seemed to slow down and they got to enjoy being parents to a sweet, funny, smart daughter.
Somewhere along the road Brandon decided he had made Sam wait long enough so on January 1st, 2017 he got down on one knee and asked the woman of his dreams if she would become his wife! Of course, the answer was yes!
February 10, 2018 was the day that Brandon was finally able to give the cute girl at Vanderwell Lodge his last name and it was beautiful.
Brandon proposed after the New Year’s countdown in the comfort of our own home Jan 01 2017!
