Edmonton Engagement Photographer | Lacey + Erik

I am beyond excited that Lacey + Erik are one of my 2019 wedding couples because these two are wonderful people and so down to earth. I am so grateful that I got to spend such a beautiful evening with these two in the river valley. I can’t wait for your wedding this summer and so grateful to have crossed paths with you both.
Thank you for spending the night with me and choosing me to capture these moments. XO

        THEIR LOVE STORY

Back in 2010 during my high school graduation, we met through mutual friends.
We had a wonderful night of basically driving around the city, talking about each other’s lives and almost forgot to meet all of our friend at this grad party.

It almost felt like we were long lost friends that just met up for some quality time together, and I think it scared the hell out of the both of us!

Fast forward a few years, we are basically best friends. We spent most of our free time together outside of our busy lives of work and school. Even our families were taking notice and probably wondered when we were both going to get serious about each other. But, we were young and were both terrified of the commitment. (who wouldn’t be)

Through lots of trial and error, we’ve have learned to love, respect, understand and commit to one another on whole level that we both didn’t believe could ever be reached. We love watching each other grow and supporting each other to reach the people we both want to be.

        HOW HE PROPOSED

He proposed to me March 3rd, 2018.
We went out for dinner to a new restaurant, which at the time I had a suspension that he may do it there. Since it was out of sorts. Knowing Erik, he wouldn’t want to do it with a crowd of people watching. We ate some delicious vegetarian food, and then left. I was a bit disappointed of course but, then I plot twist!

Erik surprised me by taking me to the Ice castles for the rest of the evening, and he waited until we were alone in a little beautiful ice crystal room and asked me to marry him! It’s been a long 8 years of building a beautiful friendship.
